Truly a class for all levels, whether you prefer to practice seated in a chair or on the floor, this class is about meeting your body where you are. My specialty is helping people to reduce pain by understanding and improving their movement. In these classes I blend supported restorative poses, somatic movement and therapeutic exercises to re-educate the body to move well even when there has been injury, illness or disuse or overuse. You will be guided and assisted in this gentle mindful approach to a yoga and self-care practice that will allow your body to let go of long held tension, strain and pain so that you are able to move well, breath well and live well.
When I started doing yoga with Karen I had limited mobility particularly on my left side and I was in constant pain. After doing just one session of therapeutic yoga the transformation of being able to do just normal everyday things was amazing. Continuing with each session has brought about such positive changes in my flexability I do believe that I will continue with yoga for the rest of my life.
